Michael recently worked with David Byrne on the soundtrack for 'This Must Be the Place," starring Sean Penn and Frances McDormand, and due for release in early 2012. Michael sings six songs on the soundtrack.

Michael's new album, "The Orchard," will be released in conjunction with "This must be the place." The album features guest vocalists Glen Hansard, Julia Stone, Ari Hest, and Joe Sumner.

Before moving to the U.S., Michael and his band released an EP, "Beekeeper" in Ireland, prompting Hot Press (Irelands premier music mag ) to tap the group as the "Next Big Thing."

Michael also recently performed and sang on Brendan Perry's (Dead Can Dance) solo album "Eye Of The Hunter."

Michael also released an earlier solo album "So I Do" in 2007, followed by "Live in NY," released in 2009 {see review below}
