I've been asked several times about my whistle. It's cocobola wood in the key of D made by Paul Busman. I've had it since March of '04. His website, with photos of all the gorgeous whistles he builds, is at www.busmanwhistles.com. I love my Busman whistle. It's sweet and mellow with a strong lower octave. Paul has been great to work with and always ready with advice for care and maintenance. This is an incredibly rugged instrument, especially considering it is basically a thin tube made of wood. I accidentally left it in the hot sun a whole day last summer (I don't recommend it). I soaked it in olive oil and, it took about a week, but it came around again. Paul does amazing work. His whistles are as beautiful to the eye as to the ear.
