About this user

I was born and raised in Madison, WI, graduated from high school in '95, and attended college at the University of Whitewater for 3 semesters. I headed west to Colorado in '97 and lived/worked out there for 4 years. In 2001, I moved back home to Wisconsin and attended Madison Area Technical College. In this same year, I bought my first guitar; a cheap Takamine acoustic.

In 2003, I received an Associate Degree in Applied Science as a Web Analyst/Programmer from MATC. I entered the workforce as a Web Developer and continued to play guitar in my spare time. After 5 years of playing a lame acoustic guitar, I bought an Ibanez Artwood Series and a Crate acoustic amplifier.

This equipment kept me content for awhile but I eventually craved playing an electric guitar. I was highly interested in learning songs by my favorite guitar player and in my opinion; the greatest rock guitarist to walk the planet Earth, Eddie Van Halen. I had to get an electric guitar and pronto!

In 2007, I bought an Eric Clapton Fender Stratocaster and a VOX AC30 amplifier. This would be my starter equipment and I hope to one day own a Frankenstrat and a 5150 amplifier, and effects to get a more suitable tone for what I'm interested in playing. I have studied Van Halen for about 3 years now and my goal is to cover them one day.
