What is Equestrian?

It's the bleary eyed 4 AM mornings, 15 hour drives;
Memorizing jumping courses and dressage tests;
Cleaning stalls, riding in 102° weather, sweat, blood, and bruises;
It's the perfume of saddle soap, liniment and a job well done;
It's showing at 10 PM when you've been awake since 3 AM;
It's spooks and braiding until your fingers bleed;
It's hauling 3 states away and paying an arm and a leg to have a judge tell you you just aren't good enough;
It's a day in and day out sport, there's no fouls or red cards;
It's working that much harder to be better;
It's practice every day, no matter the circumstances;
It's looking good while working your ass off;

It's my life.
