does your 360 have the three red lights of death? follow these steps and it will work
Just switch on the Console, wrap it in two thick towels and let it overheat 15 minutes. Than unwrap it and switch it off. (Watch out, it is kind a toasty!) Than let it cool down for 15 minutes again and there ya go: It will work again!
