Metrel was founded in 1975 by a group of engineers active in the development of electronic measurement equipment to be used on industrial production line environment.

With over 36 years of activity, Metrel has gained the experience and know-how to solve most measurement problems present in high series production lines of precision mechanical parts, assuring the highest long term reliability. Primary importance has always been given to the study of new developments made possible by the advancement of the electronic techniques in the last decades.

All solutions and products are proprietary and have been developed in its design departments, where all techniques relevant in its field are available. Design of electronic hardware, analogue and digital, development of firmware and software, production of standard and miniature transducers, design and manufacture of miniature mechanical measuring elements are all performed in its premises.

The staff of the company is formed by highly qualified engineers. Standard production is manufactured by a set of external suppliers selected during many years of cooperation. Final assembly and test operations are always performed internally, as well as the production of all critical parts.

The availability of internal know-how and expertise in all techniques involved, makes it possible to solve the problems of our customers applying the most appropriate mix of mechanical, electronic and software solutions, offering the best performance/cost compromise.

We design and deliver: * Standard products: electronic measuring instruments and transducers. * Electronic measuring plugs and forks. * Post process stations with correction feedback to the machine tool. * Inter-operational control stations. * Final test stations and sorting machines. * Equipment for measurement of flow area of turbines of jet motors. * Control stations for the production cycle of turbine leaves. * Standard solutions for: o Connecting rods o Continuous thickness control of metal sheets. o Sorting machines for precision needles, for bearings, chains and similar applications. o Rolling gear test stations according to ISO 1328-2.

Metrel can offer personalized solutions for statistical process control of all operations where dimensions are critical, in production lines of engines and exchange gears for the automotive industry, where uninterrupted reliable operation is of outmost importance.

As reference stand hundreds of machines showing no performance degradation after millions of test cycles and years of operation in workshop environment.
