Even today the country is torn with violence and the soon to be released documentary showcases the years of struggle and how Afghanistan's history is playing a role in our world today. Shadow of Afghanistan is the name of the film and it displays 20 years of the Soviet occupation. Jim Burroughs, director of Shadow of Afghanistan, joins us to take a closer look at his film.

This weekend thousands will be headed to annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference in Washington, DC. At the conference, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Obama are expected to speak. It has been announced the two will meet privately to chat about Iran, but publicly the US and Israel haven't seen eye to eye on what to do about Iran's nuclear program. Critics believe these changes will allow the company to gather vast amounts of personal information on any given user.
