Release date : 29.01.10 (Nuclear Blast Records) The bio : Although everybody seems to have a different account of who came first in the world of New York/New Jersey area thrash metal, it seems certain that New Jerseys Overkill have stayed around the longest, and have never let their fans down by remaining musically consistent and true to their roots for over 20 years and an unprecedented 14 full length albums. By 1987s Taking Over, the band had worked their way up to a deal with Atlantic Records. This relationship would last another 7 years based on the strength and consistency of Overkills music. 1988s Under The Influence and 1989s The Years Of Decay represent Overkill in their prime. Sid Falck would replace Rat Skates on drums to bring his own brutal percussive assault to Vernis already powerful rhythm section. The band had already established a rabid fan base with songs like Rotten To The Core and Hammerhead (as well as their infamous cover of D.O.A.s Fuck You), and new songs like Evil Never Dies and Hello From The Gutter would become Overkill mainstays as well. A video for Hello From The Gutter was garnering much fan response when it received play on MTVs Headbangers Ball. 1994s W.F.O. would be Overkills final album with Atlantic, as they would release their first official full-length live assault, Wrecking Your Neck on CMC in 1995. 1996-1999 would see Overkill release 3 more full length albums (Killing Kind, From The Underground and Below, and Necroshine). In 2000, Overkill released Bloodletting on Metal-Is, adding guitarist Dave Linsk to the fray. The current Overkill lineup would be completed with the release of the live album Wrecking Everything and the addition of second guitarist Derek Tailer in 2002. Finally, Overkill would release one of their most well-received albums to date Killbox 13 on Spitfire Records in 2003. As fans rabidly await the imminent release of their latest contribution on Spitfire, ReliXIV, it seems obvious This document was created using iPool music promotion software - http://iPool.info that Overkill are, and always have been, a band that knows who their fans are, knows what true metal fans expect, and will settle for nothing but the best from themselves. An entirely self-produced album, ReliXIV is a continuation of the Overkill legacy. Immortalis, the band´s 15th studio album was release in October 2007 via Bodog Music. Now with Nuclear Blast Records, it seems the band has finally found themselves a home: Good to be with a label that understands what Overkill are about and what Metal is about in 2010, exciting! Bobby Blitz The upcoming album features Overkill's latest lineup, which, along with founders Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and D.D. Verni, includes guitarists Derek "The Skull" Tailer and Dave Linsk, as well as the newest member to join the band, drummer Ron Lipnicki. There are few names as well respected as Overkill, and with the resurgence of metal in the music world, this band is poised to return to the top. Overkill are ready to show mature metal heads they still have it and are geared up to teach the new schoolers exactly how it's done. Ironbound is one hell of a thrashing piece which leads the band back to their old-school roots! Track Listing: 01. The Green And Black 8:11 02. Ironbound 6:33 03. Bring Me The Night 4:15 04. The Goal Is Your Soul 6:40 05. Give A Little 4:41 06. Endless War 5:40 07. The Head And Heart 5:10 08. In Vain 5:12 09. Killing For A Living 6:14 10. The SRC 5:07

European street date: January 25th, 2010 (Century Media).
The waiting is over, the time is right, the beast has returned: Swedens very own and very special DREAM EVIL are finally back with a brand-new studio album to continue their unrivalled crusade for pure M.E.T.A.L.! Having debuted strong with their initial Dragonslayer (2002) and Evilized (2003) albums as well as touring in Europe and Japan with bands like HammerFall, Masterplan, Kamelot or Blind Guardian, it really wasnt until 2004 that the monumental The Book Of Heavy Metal release catapulted the band into the worldwide spotlight and attention of the complete Metal scene. The concept of this magnum opus was meant to be a tribute to the bands that originally inspired DREAM EVIL but also to glorify the Metal scene as a whole. Never shy of adding musical humour, over-the-top attitude, an extreme visual presentation and very peculiar lyrics into the mix to compliment their undisputed songwriting class, DREAM EVIL wasnt a band easily understood correctly by everyone along the way, as some people seemed to be in doubt about their nature and purpose. Well, the years and the relentless work for the Metal cause have proved that DREAM EVIL are in it for real and for the long ride too After touring Europe with Saxon and going through some restructuring of the bands core line-up when lead guitarist Gus G. (Firewind, Ozzy Osbourne) and drummer Snowy Shaw (ex King Diamond, Therion) decided to leave the fold to concentrate and to prioritize their own new bands, DREAM EVIL came back strong with 2006s United album (well, the worlds first 1 ½ album really, if you count in the bonus 3 CD), introducing new drummer Pat Power as well as lead guitarist Mark U. Black. The same line-up worked on the Gold Medal In Metal DVD/2CD release, which was an acclaimed compilation of a live-footage DVD shot by director Patric Ullaeus / www.revolver.se (In Flames, Within Temptation, Europe, etc.), its audio-part as first official DREAM EVIL live-album as well as an additional full disc of rare and unreleased archive studio-material from all the bands earlier recording sessions. With the release of Gold Medal In Metal, DREAM EVIL also went through a quick period of hibernation with not much of activity on the live-front, but didnt only manage to use the downtime to look for a new lead guitarist, who they finally found in Dannee Demon, but also worked harder than ever on creating new material that would not only live up to their high own standards but also resurrect the previous anthem-like, full-on-metal and all-killers-no-fillers feel of DREAM EVILs past releases, which were always inspired in a healthy way by ingredients from traditional Metal chefs like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Accept, Scorpions, Saxon or Dio but adding a typically Scandinavian spice and most of all a very own pinch of DREAM EVIL flavour to the recipe. Pragmatically entitled In The Night and symbolically packaged in artwork by Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Old Mans Child, Firewind, etc.) featuring a phoenix arising from the ashes and the flames, this new DREAM EVIL studio album was once again skillfully recorded at axemans Fredrik Nordström own Studio Fredman (Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, HammerFall, etc.) and strikes back with the power of pure steel! 12 immediate and imminent new songs, including soon-to-be sing-along classics like Bang Your Head or See The Light, the ultra-strong opening-track Immortal or the self- explanatory The Ballad, that are destined to take no prisoners and to effortlessly demonstrate how vibrant, exciting and enjoyable melodic Metal can still be in and for this newly starting next decade! Look out to see DREAM EVIL returning to European stages in January February 2010 supporting Stratovarius! The limited edition of In The Night comes as Mediabook-CD with alternate artwork and contains an extended booklet, 2 exclusive bonus tracks and a killer patch for your jacket!
