Born and raised by the sea in north-coastal town of Oracabessa, Jamaica. My East Indian ancestry did not allow me the luxury of acceptance hence words became my lovers & books, my friends. Faced with childhood rejection I began writing poetry at an early age finding it to be cathartic. With buffalo hide & demanding muse I studied all genres of poetry; Sestinas, Pantoums, Villanelles and such challenging forms winning various awards & spotlighted throughout the SE, USA.
My first book, "India Ink on Blank Pages" published in 2008 by Victoria Valentine of Water Forest Press, NY..A special thanks for your dedication & generous heart, your patience, turning my chaos to order, allowing a life-long dream to come to fruition. Looking forward to another compilation of wit & creativity, your friendship is deeply cherished. Thanks also to Orania Hamilton ( Cally of Platinum Poetry ), you are a true treasure indeed making several of my poems "POD".......
