It is the dawn of a new era. We have been lucky enough to live in a time when religious extremeism is dragged kicking and screaming into the light to be shown for what it really is. I have called myself an atheist for as long as I can remember. I'm not so sure that it is totally accurate. While I do not believe in any deity, or subscribe to organized religion, I must face the concept that there are forces in the world for which I have no explanation, or cannot hope to have during the short span of my life. I must concede that through empathy, and sympathy...love....hate....ang er, that the spirit in a single human exists. For lack of a better term. The soul. It is not given. It is not a product of study. It is created within, and dies within every human being. You wont find me searching for evidence of christianity, or islam, or any other deity. That is absurd.
