more
Sarah feels like the loneliest woman in the universe after her boyfriend leaves her. But a little rover from another world has a special message for Sarah, which (unknown to her) connects her to another lonely soul on a distant planet.
"Life Signs" was my first standalone 16mm film during my time as a master's student in San Diego State University's film program. While I still have the original 16mm negative and answer print, the version provided here is digitized from an old VHS transfer. I will post an HD version of the original 16mm answer print in the future.
"Life Signs" was filmed in late October 1999 at California State University, San Marcos, and SDSU. It was presented in 2000 as part of the San Diego Comic-Con independent film showcase, and was an early upload onto iFilm.com (now defunct).

LYRICS
Woke up on the wrong side of her stasis bed and then A grind through the first test chamber just to do it all again Getting hot in her orange jumpsuit but she was cold and blue All alone with that voice to haunt her, and then she met you
Infinite love in six sides of fun Two till the end, it's Me and My Companion Cube All I need is you and My Portal Gun Everyone is dead, just Me and My Companion Cube
Elegant and sleek you leave her at a loss for words No complaints. You'll follow her to the end of the world and when you're there you'll build a future and never be apart Growing old, eating cake together. She sees it in your heart.
Infinite love in six sides of fun Two till the end, it's Me and My Companion Cube All I need is you and My Portal Gun Everyone is dead, just Me and My Companion Cube (repeat)
Oh. Yeah yeah Oh. Yeah yeah Oh. Yeah yeah yeah Oh...
Infinite love in six sides of fun Two till the end, it's Me and My Companion Cube All I need is you and My Portal Gun Everyone is dead, just Me and My Companion Cube (repeat)
Oh... Oh... I'm doing science and I feel so alive I'm doing science and I feel so alive

I've been meaning to get "Human Resource" off tape and onto DVD. You're the second cast member to request it in the past couple of months! I also plan to put it on YouTube here when I get the master tape imported for a new digital file.
Still making films! (After almost six years away from it.)
Hope that you are well and still making films!
Let me know what you are up to;
Also any chance of getting a DVD copy of HR? :)
