*Firstly dye your hair to a light blonde colour, mine is ashy so this isn't as bright as the blue truly could be plus it won't last as long on my hair. To do this, you need to use bleach.
*If you can, don't use conditioner in the wash before you dye your hair. This helps the colour to stick better. Also try and dye your hair on second or third day hair.
*Section your hair into parts that you want to dye. Even if you are dying all of your hair, I would recommend doing this to ensure it is even.
*Coat the surrounding hair in conditioner, not a lot, just so it's covered. If you're concerned about the dye getting on your skin, you can also put Vaseline/petroleum jelly on your forehead/ears.
*Put on your gloves and put your colour into the container, then paint it on using a tint brush. Make sure your ends are fully covered because this is the weakest point in your hair, meaning the dye has trouble sticking to it and it will fade quickest.
*If your dye is semi permanent (most abnormal coloured dyes are) leave it on your hair for as long as possible, 20 minutes minimum. If your hair dye is permanent, follow the instructions given.
*Wash out thoroughly until the water runs clear. If you can, don't use conditioner and wash it in cold water to help the dye last longer.
*Dry as normal, but if you are using a permanent colour or bleach, it's a good idea to avoid heat for a little while to help your hair recover.

~Hair dye - Crazy Colour, Peacock blue. I PREFER LA RICHE DIRECTIONS AS THE COLOUR LASTS BETTER, BUT THIS IS JUST WHAT I HAD. From Amazon.
~Tint brush - From Ebay
~Container - Not metallic, especially if you are bleaching your hair.
~Conditioner - Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek. Any conditioner is fine.
~Hairclips, Hairbands & things to tie your hair up with.
~Hairbrush
~Gloves (Especially with permanent dyes & colours like blue & red)
~Vaseline
