Okay, so my piercing is doing very well right now, but I definitely have had my difficulties with it. In the third week, my ring fell out. I tried to get it back in, but being a corkscrew, it seemed impossible. My mom bought me some L-Shaped ones from Wal-Mart, but I couldn't get those in because at this point, the piercing was rather irritated. I tried a little music note stud, which was a straight post with a little ball on the end, but because my nose was swollen, it wouldn't go through all the way. SO, what I did was take a backing off a dangly earring, (You know, the part that supports the jewel) and used pliers to make it into a hoop, and wore that overnight. The next day, I went to my fabulous piercer and she put it back in for me.
About a month later, I got the flu. This meant I was using Kleenex's alot, and that also irritated the piercing. I developed a bad bump behind the piercing, filled with pus and blood. So I went to a different piercer that is much closer to where I live (The other one is too unconvenient and I didn't have a method of transportation to get there at that moment), and told them the situation. The lady there told me to, every night, take two Aspirin pills and crush them together with spoons, then add a few drops of water to make a paster. Then I would use a Q-Tip and apply it to the infected area and leave it on overnight. Then, when I cleaned it in the morning, I would clean it off. This method was VERY effective, and if you develope a bump like that around your piercing, then I strongly reccommend doing what I said above. The bad infection disappeared in about 5 days.
On December 7th, I tried to change it. I was able to get in the Music Note Post I mentioned earlier, just in time for my band concert. At the moment, I have a silver L-Shaped one in, and it's perfectly fine. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this. I hope this will help you. Hey Guys! Okay, so this is my first official-ish video. I got my nose pierced last Saturday (September 19), So I thought I would post my video. Any questions?
MOST ASKED FAQ: Q: How old are you? A: I am 13. Q: Why would you get your nose pierced? A: I think it looks really pretty, and if you don't like the fact that I am putting holes in my face, then please keep it to yourself. :] Q: Did it hurt? A: Everyone's pain tolerance is different. I have pretty high pain tolerance, so it only hurt about a 4/10.
OTHER FAQ: Q: On a scale of 1 - 10, how much did it hurt? A: Probably a 4.. Q: Why was the lady wearing a mask? A: She was just getting over a cold, and the place was very sanitary and hygeinic :] Q: Would you reccomend getting yours done with a gun or a needle? A: Definitely a needle, they're much more hygienic, with a lower risk of infection. Q: How much did it cost? A: $55 with a stud, but with a ring it would be $45 Q: Do you reccomend that particular Body Piercing studio? A: Definitely, they were amazing. Q: Why did you want to get your nose pierced? A: I thought it was really pretty. :) Q: Why is your face so weird when they put the needle through? A: They're putting a HOLE in my FACE, don't you think your face would be weird, too? ;) Q: How is it doing? A: Very good so far, mind you it has only been a week :) Q: When can you change it? A: Well, if it's doing well, I may be able to change it around Halloween. Q: How long do you have to keep cleaning it for? A: Around December, perhaps longer. Q: How do you clean it? A: I can make a tutorial, if requested...
