WHO IS MELODY MILES?
Hi my name is Melody Miles. I'm a Spirit filled born again Christian mother of three teenagers, married to my best friend and full time minister for 18 years, and successful business women and online marketer.
I've been an entrepreneur since I was 15 years old. I've successfully started and built companies from the ground up, including brick and mortar businesses. I have tasted success and experienced the heartache of failure. I've had it all and I know what it's like to have nothing.
After having a wake up call by having a stroke at age 40 due to over-working, over-stressing, and getting no rest, I found myself in a position where I had to shut down my remodeling & design business. I had put my very life into this business through sweat and tears, and now was faced with having to start completely over. That is a very scary place to be. For health purposes, I had to do something that would not be stressful on me and would allow me to set my own hours and pace in which I worked.
So there I was sitting on my bed. I remember it like it was yesterday... What was I going to do? We lost our business, we were hundreds of thousands of dollars in the hole, we were about to loose everything, and I had a family to support, which includes three teenagers soon wanting to go to college.
All I knew about the Internet was that people had been very successful working online with e-bay and doing other things I knew nothing about. I had done a search for home businesses online, (I didn't even know the term 'internet marketing'), and the results were overwhelming.
So I sat on my bed in a moment of despair and then I said " You know what, I may not know how, but obviously others have figured it out and are making a lot of money, so it must not all be scams. I'm gonna do this and I am going to succeed!"
It would be great if I could tell you that I started an online business and went straight to the top but we both know that would be a dream. I know exactly what it's like to not have the money to train under the gurus of internet marketing, and have to try to plug in by doing what my up-line tells me, spending more money than I made (because I wasn't making anything), thinking I had made a big mistake but hanging on to that feeling that I knew I could somehow make it at this, but needing someone to throw me a rope. Well, someone did.
My mentors struggled for 12 years, 8 years, and so on before they found the answers to success online. Fortunately, my struggle was for only 5 months, but when you are faced with loosing everything, that's a long time, believe me. You may know what I mean.
