Mellow Motif is a jazz band project started by Eugene and I (Natasha) - we were colleagues at Carnegie Mellon University (2008). We arrange and perform Jazz standards. We do a lot of traditional Swing as well as a wide range of Brazilian music. The band started off in the US but is currently based in Bangkok, Thailand. Eugene is a full-time computer programmer in Singapore, I am a Master's Degree candidate in Jazz Vocal Performance in New York City. We collaborate during our free time (we make TONS of time!) for our shows -- Mellow Motif is our golf, and thats why we love it :)
Mellow Motif performs for private/corporate functions, weddings, pubs and restaurants, concert series, music and jazz festivals, and other places wherever there is a demand. Our repertoire consists of 200+ Jazz/Latin Standards and has a good balance of popular tunes and hidden gems. We are capable of providing lively and rousing music for large festivals as well as sweeter, slower tunes perfect for wine and dine.
Our debut album was launched in Thailand in February 2009 under Warner Music Thailand. Our CD is now available at B2S, GRAM store (Siam Paragon), and other major record stores in Thailand. It is also available at DAT CD Shop in Singapore. In a few months, it will be available throughout Southeast Asia.
