@clpton62 I have owned this pedal 3 times, and the final time decided it was just the bees knees for getting a great chorus tone. The pop you mentioned on this pedal I get it to. All my effects are true bypass, but this one is the only one that pops loudly.

Sorry mate, my mistake, you ARE adjusting the Volume level with the pre-amp set clean. When it said GAIN level 3/4 etc I thought you actually meant the gain control.
