Meg Pinsonneault is an award-winning, festival screened director and screenwriter in Los Angeles. She is the founder of the budding production company, Thirsty Girl Films, which is a semi exclusive content provider for the auteur filmmaking website, Mubi Garage. Their short stop motion animation, "A Lost Love Story," written and directed by Meg Pinsonneault, has won numerous awards, including 2010 Filmmaker of the Year award from RAW: Natural Born Artists, 2nd Place in Animation from 2011 Los Angeles Art House Film Festival, and Merit Awards in Animation from 2011 Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood and the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival. Likewise, Meg is currently in production on a compelling feature documentary, Gwapa (Beautiful), about a Filipino family's journey to help their three children with facial deformities, which recently won indieWIRE's "Project of the Week." Thirsty Girl Films also recently completed a unique short period thriller, "Feast of the Foolish," shot on the RED. Both films were successfully crowd-funded through Indiegogo.com. Meg is an avid screenwriter, with a feature script currently circulating the studio system. She has been featured on websites like Film Courage, Film Radar, Mubi Garage, Indiegogo, and Take Part. Likewise, she participates in panels on indie filmmaking and crowd funding. An Emerson College alumni, she is also an award-winning photographer and art director and published poet. Meg has too many hobbies, but loves them all.
