I am a person who loves and admires all musical genres ranging from: Karnatic, Hindustani, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Gospel, Fushion Music, Western Classical Music, World Music, Light Classical Rock, Pop, Ghazals, Qawalis, a lil bit of RnB and who can forget Tamil, Mallu and Hindi Music :)
My favourite instrument obviously is the violin and singing has also been a passion of mine from a tender age.
My major influences have to be derived from L.Subramaniam, L.Shankar, Jyotsna Srikanth and V.S Narasiman.
For singing, my major influences would have to be Hannah Northedge, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy, Nina Simone, Etta James, Dusty Springfield, Rumer, Yolanda Adams, Katie Melua, Barbara Streisand, Adele & Stacey Kent.
My other influences are Yehudi Menuhin, Stephane Grapelli, Ginette Neveu, Vanessa Mae and Hilary Hahn.
