However, during that absenteeism, my admiration for him never dies. Through the years, I never doubted him and never stopped adoring the man. I grew up with him; he's part of my youth and innocence. He was there when I had my 'first heartache' and his music becomes my dynamic instrument to consoled and healed my wounded heart. I was devastated the day Michael Jackson died; I remember every detail when I first heard it. I was in shock! Momentarily, I could not speak nor move. It was unexpected, too sudden, and I refused to believe it. I panicked and visited the web to confirm the news. The man who touched my heart, my soul and my life has gone. And that moment, I was stricken by a deep pain I could not imagine; I cried and cried a river of tears. I am feeling guilty and wanting to go back in time. Somewhere in my moments of grief, I wonder why I left his music so long that I have to regret it now. I didn't predict this sad scenario, it leaves me searching trying to make up perhaps for the lost times. Since his passing; I hardly concentrate on anything besides searching everything Michael Jackson, trying to make a glimpse of something that connects my glances to his music, life and death.
We will always remember "Music and Me", "Ben" and "I'll be there", all certified classic. "Billie Jean", "Beat It" and "Thriller" is partly nostalgic; everyone remembers exactly where they were when they first heard it. Everyone knew "We Are the World" and "Heal the World" and "Man In the Mirror", the songs he created for the world unity and healing. My personal national anthem is "On the Line", as it changes my personal convictions. "One Day in your Life" remains close to my heart, as it reminds me of my 'first love'. Someone in the Dark is my lullaby song to make me sleep. From this magical era, his music was part of everyone life. Today, when I hear his songs, my heart still kind of enchanted. I have to stop, listen and can't resist singing or dancing without looking pathetic. This is a moment I will cherish and tell my children about.....
I am not ashamed to admit that I mourned, and still cried every moment I think about him ... I am inconsolably heartbroken. At times, I can't accept and refused that he leaves us all behind just embracing his music. How could I let go of someone I grew up with for 37 years? I can't just pretend to embrace such reality that he is gone. For how could I forget such a man? He was the man who saw me through from the best to the darkest times of my life; he's been part of my youth and innocence. He was the man who consoled and healed my wounded heart from my first heartache. The man who touched my heart, my soul and my life certainly, no one can ever take over. He was the most honorable man I have ever known. He is a gift from God and I thank Him for gracing us someone like Michael Jackson. I feel fortunate that I have shared his time in this earth and I love him more with all my heart unconditionally, just the way he did.....
