This video is the first official musical video to be shot on the island of St. Eustatius (Statia). This song was performed by 21 singers on the island including medical students from Canada & the USA who want to see a change.
WHAT'S THE GOAL?
The Mega D Youth Foundation (MYF) is looking for your support in helping the youths on St. Eustatius.
Statia is an island of 11.8sq miles or approximately 30.6 sq kilometers with a population of 3183. Our foundation caters to a maximum of 1000 youngsters that resides on the island. It is very apparent that it is vital that we keep our youths positively focused and occupied to employ their creativity and energy to build their characters and help develop their skills.
The foundation is looking to raise the standard of social and educational activities available on the island of St. Eustatius by introducing new concepts that are attractive and that will consequently have a positive influence on the youths.
The programs we plan to engage in are designed to motivate our youth and upgrade their life skills that promote positive values, healthy habits, and education.
The Mega D Youth Foundation was founded by its namesake Mega D, one of Europes most successful and widely known non-Jamaican dancehall artists.
Mega D, also a member of the popular group RMX CRW, saw the need to motivate the youth in his home country towards positive exposure to the arts and formed the Mega D Youth Foundation to push these initiatives.
