The Garys are a team of seven NYC-based long-form improvisers who formed in 2009 while training at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Collectively, members have studied improv, sketch and theatre at The Magnet (NYC), Second City (Chicago), BMI, and with teachers from iO (Chicago).
The Garys have performed all over New York as well as at the Chicago Improv Festival, the Boston Improv Festival, the Providence Improv Festival, the Del Close Marathon and the NYC Improv Festival. In May of 2011, The Garys produced and hosted The Garathon, a hugely successful sixteen-team improv tournament at The Tank and are currently planning The 2012 Garathon on June 1st, 2nd, 8th.
