About West Chester U of PA: Service Learning Project for Ashraya
As a student from a social problems course at West Chester University, I am compiling videos and slideshows in order to promote and show the progress of our service learning project. The primary goal of this project is to provide us with an academic and practical opportunity that will focus entirely upon assisting the Ashraya Initiative for Children. AIC is a three year old organization started by an undergraduate student at Emory University as a service project aimed at helping orphans in Pune, India. As a community West Chester University and the students in this course hope to contribute to Ashraya by focusing on the following goals during the fall 2007 semester and beyond by spreading awareness, collecting both monetary donations and daily necessities for those in need.
