This interview is one of the most marvelous settings for Hitchens' worldview to be adumbrated. It's quiet, simple, and unassuming and free of the sometimes wearying (though necessary) oppositionism he upholds in public debates. He's rather husky here too...

@mdk1021 I actually agree Hitchens gets a lot of overexcited praise for his rhetoric which sometimes slips into sophistry, albeit brilliantly literate, eloquent sophistry. On Craig's general approach I would point to Dan Dennett's concept of "deepities", which for me is a pretty damning critique.

All these "thumbs up if ____ sent you here!" are overriding the comments which actually discuss the video. And now this comment has done the same.

The great thing about Radiohead is replay value. I'm still discovering new elements of brilliance to this song nearly four years after it's release and that's not through want of playing. This speech is much too good for BAFTA. Both writing and delivery are peaches of luxurious texture. And both the writing and delivery are brilliant in a way which is particular to Stephen. Completely lovely speech.
