About this user
The Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) provides world-class healthcare simulation across a broad spectrum of providers and applications. Hands-on simulation helps teams and individuals to develop preparedness and insight that is best learned in realistic conditions. This translates into improved real-world communication, collaboration, teamwork, and crisis management.
CMS believes healthcare simulation is most effective when techniques are drawn from multiple disciplines and are customized to the level and background of each group.
To this end, we've assembled an elite team of more than 25 professionals with expertise in medicine, patient safety, biomedical engineering, organizational behavior and adult learning. Each healthcare simulation session is different and uniquely effective.
The combined healthcare simulation experience of the CMS team is unsurpassed, allowing CMS to deliver competent, comprehensive healthcare simulation with techniques drawn from multiple disciplines and customized to the level and background of each group.
Thousands of clinicians, educators, administrators, and managers have benefited from our simulation programs. These cover a range of healthcare areas, including anesthesia, emergency medicine, intenstive care, labor and delivery, otorhinolaryngology, pain service, radiology, surgery, code, EMS and transport teams, and crisis management response in many domains.
CMS was one of the world's first medical simulation centers and continues to be a global leader in the field. CMS is approved by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level 1-accredited educational institute, and is endorsed by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
CMS offers a variety of courses, workshops and webinars for clinicians, clinical educators, leaders and managers as well as customized speaking, consulting and testing services for business and industry. Please visit our website at http://www.harvardmedsim.org for a full listing.
