The Reformation is a progressive rock band formed in Februrary 2008 by drummer Kyle Brower, bassist Fred Carneiro and multi-instrumentalist Matt Penco. The name stems from the literal reformation of a defunct group into a more evolved band by joining with vocalist Caroline Schneider; in the figurative sense, they seek to reform music with their own interpretations of reality. Carneiro left the band in June 2011 and was replaced by multi-instrumentalist Dan Miller. They released their self-titled debut album and are promoting it by playing shows in the Pittsburgh area. They seek to find a record label that understands their sound and wants to assist in promoting the band and distributing its music.
