Hey there, I'm Cleve Hall. I made Gene's armor for this tour. You don't need a ton of clay... I sculpt my pieces from 4lb Gold rigid foam and shape it with a Rasp, also known as a Sure Form, from Home Depot, then finish with sandpaper. None of the pieces are molded plastic, they are all Vacuformed.
