Strange experience, listening to a musical piece more with my eyes than with my ears....As far as the notes entered my ears, I'd say that this rendition is wonderful.

It would be nice to have the right pictures. Actually the performance is by the old group with Jonathan Rathbone, Ben Parry, Hellen Massey and the others. The pictures refer instead to the today singers. Anyway, and above all, thanks for posting!

I do like a lot Pollini's analytic rendition of Beethoven. He is a genius. But I find this Liszt unbearable. The result is just chaos, and metallic, horrible sound. It seems that Pollini wants to prove that his technique is better than Kissin's, or Valentina Lisitsa's, or Yuja Wang's, or MA Hamel...

Just a short remark. The percentage of persons with perfect pitch is not 1 out of 10000. Statistics is wrong (and so Wikipedia), as noted in a scientific paper written in 2008. In fact just musicians are evaluated in statistics, but then the rate of perfect pitches is referred to the whole popula...

Fantastic!! REALLY A CAPPELLA: just one microphone for all of them, no equalization tricks. These girls are far better than more celebrated (fake) a cappella groups. I love them.

The sound lingers in the air for too much time, chords are very confused. I am amazed that they are careless on this fundamental detail. in such an acoustix context much better to sing without microphones (see King's Singers)

In standard vocal music there are three components: the score, the voices, the conductor. Here we have a further component: sound engineering. We speak of Whitacre, we see the vocalists, but the real genius is hidden: the sound engineer of this production could extract an awe inspiring sound marv...

@Elektrita9 Yes, you're right. But Voca People had this idea of a nice scenographic context and that's the winning move. From a musical point of view they don't reach the best a cappella groups, but all in all they deserve their success.

This is a really good cappella group! The bass is very good too, precise, good voice!! But....don't stick to low notes. I'm a baritone in an acappella group. Without microphone I can sing F 87Hz, still good and rich of harmonics, not lower. But with a microphone, I sing easily down to Bb-A 55Hz, ...
