Mother Earth Campouts For over 30 years I've been getting together with my dear friends and playing music. Orginally started by a group of us that met while in college out in East Texas, Commerce to be precise. We now all gather twice a year in Mexia, Texas. All along the way new friends have stepped up to the circle. These videos were recorded down by the creek.

I am a sculptor and an art teacher. I also play music and love string instruments in particular. I have built two Ukuleles, a Mandola, Mandocello,Mandobass and now finished my mandolin. The Mandocello and Mandola used in these videos were finished in 2008. Both instruments have a sitka spruce carved front, carved maple back, sides and neck with an ebony fretboard. I'm on a quest to build the entire Mandolin family based on Gibson's early Mandolins, Mandolas, Mandocellos, and Mandobass's.

I have also started the "For the love of Mandolins" Youtube Group.

This group is dedicated to those who love to play or listen to mandolin music of all kinds or have an interest in the mandolin family of instruments that include the mandolin, mandola, mandocello and mandobass, as solo instruments or in combinations. Also to those who build these beautiful instruments.
