perfect 1985 ATC 250R and other toys

That is a sweet R , it is definately the pipe on the 86 that makes it faster . 85's were 38 hp stock , with a good pipe , some jetting and good reeds they're about 44 - 46 hp . I got an original shroud for the passenger side on ebay now for that 85 , its got some cool old stickers on it .

The atc has higher compression than the trx . 85 liquid cooled 250r is 8 : 1 and 86/87 quads were only 7.2 : 1
