@xYANKxINxOZx The original theme was an old British instrumental called Puffin Billy. Keeshan found an old record of it in the studio music library just before the first show was set to go on the air! It was much cooler than this cheesy theme.

The key change provides a pretty neat effect...a bit darker and duskier than the original. Very interesting, and another good performance.

I think that's one of Alasdair's funniest episodes. His reactions to getting watered (and getting grabbed by the ear by Valerie) are really outstanding. And I love Christine's "CONDENSED Fairy Tales?" in the locker jokes-the way she says it, and the disgusted look on her face, are both priceless.

More great bass figures. Sounds good, definitely one of John's best early ones.

I was four years old. I remember what really broke me up was that Bob was crying. That was what got me, He always seemed like such a rock. It was like seeing your dad cry. That's still what has the biggest impact on me today.

That's probably my favorite 1985 episode. I particularly like the opposite sketch with Justin and Alasdair as brothers, also the sketch where Schidtler breaks down and weeps on Christine's desk. Christine's "booing" of Lisa's last locker joke and the way Ross says "Come here, MOOSE" when he busts...

I love the rapturous look on Les's face as the Dungeonmaster when he comes in listening to the screaming prisoners through the headphones. Also the way Martin can barely say a punchline without cracking up.

Very underrated indeed, and really neat changes. Good version; it's nice to hear the chords so clearly presented by the solo format.

Brodie is really funny in that episode. Probably my favorite of his.

And how about Christine at the end in that oversize tuxedo?

I love that midair scissor kick by Christine before she stomps on Alasdair's foot the last time!

That's such a great song. It's easy to forget how great these songs are when you hear them so often. One of my favorite things about your whole project is that it's made me remember how much it thrilled me to hear these songs when I didn't know them so well and how fresh and original they seemed....

I also love the two "water" scenes involving Martin, particularly the way he cracks up when he says the line, "Moose by the Waterfall."

This is definitely better than the 1989 episode on smoking, which is probably the worst episode ever (besides maybe "Country"): purely hectoring and cravenly, disgustingly PC. But the 1989-90 shows were not all bad-far from it. Try "First Times," "Punishment," or "Embarrassment" for an example of...

The 1981 Smoking episode is really pretty funny. This one is just hectoring and self-righteous. Not one of the highlights of the show's history.

Hard to believe songs like this and "It Won't Be Long," which would have been highlights of most groups' catalogs, were just album tracks for these guys. Thanks for bringing such passion to your performances and helping to highlight what makes them so great for a new generation of listeners.
