Originally from Canada but migrated to Japan where I married and spent many years before being recruited to teach in Australia. Been involved in the fighting arts all my life and decided early on, "why not live my dream," and was able to successfully turn my passion into a profession --- have never regretted that decision.

I'm very competitive by nature---a trait reflected in pretty much everything I do. I'm also a work-a-holic and love what I do --- who wouldn't?

I've worked very hard to accomplish what I have and respect anyone who holds the same values.

I'm married to a remarkable woman named Yuriko, and we have two wonderful kids; Bianca [20--- http://myspace.com/sunnyjune] & Taylor [18 --- http://www.myspace.com/taylor_ mccarthy].

Although I only began to study martial arts a few years ago, your teachings and classes have made the most sense and made the greatest impact on me to date.
