If you want to make your own marinara sauce, I have a video up how to make it in your slow cooker: http://www.youtub...
Though I did find that it was more than okay cooked for about an hour on the stove. 1 cup finely chopped onions (2 medium) 3 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained 2 cans (8 oz) tomato sauce 2 cans (6 oz) tomato paste 24 oz uncooked spaghetti
DIRECTIONS In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.
http://www.kraftr...
4 cups medium pasta shells, uncooked 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef 1jar (24 oz.) marinara sauce 1tub (10 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Original Cooking Creme 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil 1/4cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese 1-1/2 cups KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA
COOK pasta as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, brown meat in large skillet; drain. Stir in marinara sauce; simmer on medium heat 2 min. Remove from heat.
DRAIN pasta. Mix cooking creme, basil and Parmesan in large bowl; stir in pasta. Spread half the meat sauce onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover with layers of pasta mixture and remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella; cover with foil. Refrigerate up to 24 hours.
HEAT oven to 375ºF. Bake casserole, covered, 40 to 45 min. or until heated through, uncovering after 30 min.
My impressions: Does it need to sit overnight? I'm not sure. I would assume you could eat it right away. I'm not sure if the recipe was meant for people who wanted to prepare things ahead of time? Or if it was for all the flavors to sit and blend and mellow? (the latter is my guess). Either way it was delish. Even Scott said it was

8 ounces elbow macaroni 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups milk 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 8 ounces cubed processed cheese food In a large pot with boiling salted water cook elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat melt butter or margarine. Whisk flour and stir vigorously. Add milk and cook until thick and bubbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add cheeses and stir until completely melted. In a large bowl mix together the drained pasta and cheese sauce mixture. Toss to coat evenly. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole dish. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. You could sprinkle bread crumbs on top of it. But I opted not to. This was an okay recipe. Not the best I have ever tasted but certainly not the worst.
