About Maya Traditions, Guatemala
Maya Traditions is a fair-trade producer and wholesale business established over ten years ago in Panajachel, Guatemala. Our mission is to support indigenous Maya weaving groups through providing consistent income as well as health and education projects. Currently we work with 85 Maya women from six rural villages in the highlands of Guatemala. Through our recently established foundation, Fundacion Tradiciones Mayas, we extend our support to the women and families we work with through projects like our youth development and scholarship program, natural medicine project, and artisan skills workshops.
