I've been playing classical guitar for 4 years.

I won 1st place at the MANC Guitar Competition in Greensboro, NC 11/15/09, 3rd place at the National Guitar Competition at the Music academy of North Carolina in Greensboro, NC,11-16-08,
2nd place at the Appalachian University National Guitar Competition in Boone, NC, 4-5-09, 3rd place at the ECU National Guitar Competition and Workshop 2010

Max Hiner of Radford is 15 years old, and he's only been playing guitar for two years. But in early April, he beat players with far more fretboard experience, finishing second at the Appalachian GuitarFest and Competition, at Boone, N.C.

His teacher, Radford University director of guitar studies Robert Trent, said in an e-mail that Max's group consisted of musicians in grades 9-12. The field was loaded with 17- and 18-year-olds, many of whom have been working at it for 10 years.
