There should be no tips on "how to get backspin". Every shot that is struck cleanly has backspin. Even a driver. Even a driver teed way up and struck on the upswing. If you are not getting backspin, you are practically missing the ball and you have way more fundamental problems to work out.

Very nice video Ms. Vallone. However, what you describe as the "waggle" is a training exercise Mr. Hogan suggested.
