Yeah, but doctrine is very important. We can't put our faith in a false Jesus and be saved. If Jesus is truly Jehovah and a professing Christian rejects that, then they are rejecting the true Jesus. To be honest, the terminology, "accept Jesus" (or anything similar) is not found anywhere in the New Testament. Not even once. We're not supposed to "accept" Jesus to go to heaven, according to the Bible. We are supposed to believe, receive and have faith in Him and we will have eternal life. We are also supposed to be regenerated to spiritual life by the power of the Holy Spirit.
