Sinatra totally disagrees with you! Read the book "Sinatra..The Song is You" and you will learn the admiration Sinatra had for Dorsey and his approach to music! Dorsey's musical talent was unmatched in those days!

eetcro...Then you obviously enjoy "real" music! I play by ear and swing is my favorite music. The Roland AT90s is a fantastic instrument and can duplicate a lot of the big band sounds and I am fortunate enough to own one! Music keeps one young(er)! Take care.....Bill

This is an all-time favorite...goes way back! And, I noticed you have let your hair grow longer...looks great and keep up the beautiful music...I play an AT90S...by ear...and, I can appreciate how much work goes into recording a song...and playing for a video...would freak me out!

Stan Kenton was a huge favorite of mine in the 40's...I saw his orchestra in person at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles...What a fantastic big band sound...ahead of his time...His many versions of Artistry in Rhythm...Bolero,etc.

I remember the first time I ever heard Andre Previn...I was in the Army and we received records from USO and one was of Andre Previn...he was 14 years of age and had come from, I believe Austria...an amazing musician...and, would later become the musical director for MGM at the ripe old age of 21...

If there is prettier music...it hasn't been composed yet! Just one of Glenn Millers many hits....as a teenager in the 40's...how well I remember the big bands and now at 83 I get to play them on a Roland Atelier AT90S! By ear!

This is the most inspired I have been in a long, long, time...seeing teenagers from Japan thoroughly enjoying the music of "my" day gives me goose bumps and joy to my soul. I am an ear player...keyboard and Roland Organ...started lessons at age 81...can't imagine why I waited so long!

@theamazingsamurai Makawao is not on the beach...up country from Paia. The closest beach there is Hookipa...the windsurfing beach...on the road to Hana. However, there could be a beach near there named Kokomo...I did not go there very often...only when we had visitors! On the road to Hana...side...

Music is what memories are made of...I am 83 and just started taking lessons on the keyboard last year...I now play an AT900 organ...what an insturment...capable of all the big band sounds...I am an ear player and have made a CD for my kids and will do...

This is such a beautiful song and Roberta Flack can bring a lump in your throat...if you have ever loved anyone...and, who hasn't? The lyrics are a tear jerker for sure!
