I am a professor of mathematics at Bonn University in Germany. After school three topics for my further education came to my mind: music (Cello), theology or mathematics. I started with mathematics and after my PhD I studied 4 years protestant theology. 1976 I accepted an offer as professor in mathematics. Presently I am the director of a recently founded reserach institute named after the famous mathematician Hausdorff.
