I dont think they're underrated. They were really popular drom the mid to the end of the 90's. When i was 17 almost everyone loved it around me, even those who didn't like punk rock. The ones hated it, hated them just because the others loved them. :)

1998: Offspring-Americana, ALL-Mass Nerder, Bad Religion-No Substance. That was a great year.

Need to disagree here..Metal is not rubbish in these days, check Lamb of God, Mastodon, etc and these are only the bands everyone knows. Just take a look at the underground scene, thousands of bands, some of them rubbish some of them great.
