my method while i see your score is this: i look at the first note and the last note.if starts in E and ends in g I know the remaining notes in between are not outside the E and G and makes the reading easier.I don't know but it helps me.

I have discovered this band a few years ago, even when I knew this songs for so many years ago, but this specific song, was in my head for years too many years and never knew the authors.Now Foreigner is between my all time favorite bands ever like Rainbow and Riot.
