Problem is, as you pointed out, we live in a world of idiots and, when you are different - look up "Examination Day" on the Twilight Zone, people want nothing to do with you. As a matter of fact, like Quisimodo, they want to kill you. That is why I do what I do, to get away from the hordes of zombies out there.

You are a very intelligent young person, male or femail! Ever heard the comment: "individuals are smart, but people are dumb" basically meaning hordes of ppl in grousp are dumb, like dumb animals, which is essentially what we are when you get down to it.

Here's where I split hairs with you; "As people, all we can do is not join the military". It is this kind of sentiment that limits any military in it's ability to have ethical, professional leadership capable of empathising with both allies and enemies. People with strong ethical principles are the ones who need to be the seargents and leftenants, making sure the men are professional and compassionate towards the plight of the civilian populations. Without that kind of oversight, barbarism is innevitable.
