I am an American who is continually attempting to better himself through learning. I believe the biggest problem the world faces is not physical, but mental. It is misinformation. It is hatred of those different than oneself. It is refusing to step outside of one's own perspective to better understand the world. Bigotry, racism, sexism, and religious intolerance are what divide what could be a peaceful world.
I know that some Americans are dreadfully ignorant of the world around them and hate others, just like many around the world who are equally ignorant, hate Americans. I am an American in the military because I want to be on the front lines for change. I want to help fellow Americans understand the world around them as well as others who think we are an evil people. Parallel with this calling, I want to continue to learn as well. I am using this site for both of these purposes.
If you wish to debate ideas with me, please send me a respectful and logical message and I will gladly write back. I may not change my mind, but at the least I will better understand your perspective. Who knows, maybe I will be able to broaden your perspective as well.
