About ROUGHMAX video channel

Songster, bassista e urlatore, MAX PIERI aka ROUGHMAX sale in pedana per la prima volta durante una blues jam in occasione di un festival a Viterbo.

Trasferitosi a Caserta, dall'inizio degli anni '80 entra in contatto con la scena musicale cittadina. Al termine di un breve apprendistato alla chitarra, milita nelle file dei 100 CLUB, underground rock band con cui realizza diverse produzioni discografiche e suona in lungo e in largo attraverso la penisola, ma anche all'estero.

Conclusa l'esperienza di chitarrista rock, matura il ritorno alle origini: imbraccia di nuovo il basso, riscopre il blues e ne fa uno stile di vita! Entra subito nei CARPEDIEM, texas e chicago blues combo ove si cimenta anche nella veste di cantante e autore, realizzando in pochi anni due produzioni discografiche e partecipando anche ad una compilation con noti interpreti del blues nazionale.

Nel 1998 elabora il side-project WARMGUN, "two men band" in cui si occupa anche della ritmica, utilizzando una pedana risuonante (stomp box). L'intento è quello di sviluppare uno stile più asciutto e rootsy. Nel frattempo inizia a curare elaborazioni sonore per readings, spettacoli teatrali e multimediali. Avvia collaborazioni con diversi web-magazine, scrivendo centinaia di articoli, corrispondenze musicali e recensioni.

Nel 2004 incontra FREDDY GHIDELLI, leggendario chitarrista della scena musicale cittadina, con cui consolida gli orientamenti espressivi. Sulla scia di questo sodalizio si concretizzano due produzioni discografiche per WARMGUN - che nel frattempo diventa il progetto principale - e una serie di collaborazioni come autore e musicista, live e/o in studio: POTLACH (2005), NASKA' (2007), CRISTINA Z. (2008), GARY ALLEGRETTO (2009). Dal 2007 al 2011 collabora con il Baia Domizia Blues Festival, giunto alla sua sesta edizione.
