In May 2005 I was a woman with a job that I loved, but then two discs in my neck spontaneously herniated causing me to be paralyzed. After neck surgery I got back most of my movements, but I had lost my ability to walk. Recently I have been able to walk short distances with a walker. I had not walked for over four years. I have lived in either a hospital or nursing since my neck injury. But through the grace of God, I have been able to walk with a walker.
