Well.. here it is, I guess. My second attempt at 'Syaoran and The Clone - Numb'. I think it's a little better.. well, I hope it is, because it took me so long to make, I seriously could have smashed up my conputer really badly if it had taken me any longer.. but hey, it cooperated, finally, and I was able to finish the AMV... but 've got a little explaining to do about it, so here it is:
I think I got the timing right in the beginning, and i hope that I didn't put in any clips where anyone else did. If I did, I didn't copy anyone, it just happened to be like that and I apologize...
You'll see, in the AMV, at 0:30 - 0:34 ('don't know what you're expecting of me') that I used the clips of (the littler) r!Syaoran and (the littler) c!Syaoran. what I meant to show by this is, that when r!Syaoran gave c!Syaoran half of his heart, he expected c!Syaoran to grow his own heart, but as being a clone and not knowing it, c!Syaoran never knew it, and so, he never knew what r!Syaoran was expecting of him.
Alomst every time the lyrics say 'caught in the undertow', I used the clips of c!Syaoran before he was found by Fujitaka, or however it is you spell that guy's name. Though I think r!Syaoran had a hard life being stuck in that place with Fei Wong Reed for so long, I also thing that c!Syaoran had it pretty hsrd wandeing around with no home, no memory and no place to go at all... but I can't help but to wonder where he got those bandages from..?
when the AMV gets to the 'I can't feel you there' part in the chorus, you'll see that I didn't just use clips of one person 'being there'. The first time, it's Fye (Fai, Fay, WHATEVER) checking c!Syaoran for a fever. all the rest of the times, i think I used clips of c!Syaoran and Sakura, but.. it's not just about her. What i'm trying to say there is, a lot of people care about him yet he's lost his heart, so he doesn't feel it.
The first 'so much more aware' chorus part is sort of a joke, I guess. I had that clip cut better, but my computer froze when I had it like that and I was too lazy to do so much trimming yet again. So, you'll just see c!Syaoran getting hit by a rock. I really wanted to do the 'Pwned by Snow' scene, but, that would have been to obvious, I think.
Now.. the 'all I want to do' parts in the chorus are hard to explain. I guess.. because c!Syaoran gave up everything to find Sakura's memory feathers.. that's all he ever wanted to do.
the 'more like me and be less like you' parts were fun to do, and not hard to explain. I think it speals for itself, and when explained, I think it's a little sad.. c!Syaoran just wants to be the way he was before Tokyo - much less of the way he was after.
After all that, later on, comes the ''cause everything that you thought I would be etc etc.' part comes along. This is sort of obvious, too, but still - r!Syaoran hought that c!Syaoran would grow his own heart, but he didn't and r!Syaoran's expectations fell apart.
A long while after comes the 'just like me with someone disappointed in you' part. I think this is exactly how it looks like.. but watch out, this explanation contains a SPOILER for the latest chapter of the manga, chaper 196.
c!Sakura would be disappointed in c!syaoran for.. well.. giving in to Fei Wong Reed, I thiink, don't you? Not just that, but killing her in all.. If I was her, I'd be pretty cheesed off no matter how in love I was..
and r!Sakura could be disappointed in r!Syaoran, too, couldn't she? For that small hesitation when he could have saved her from Fei Wong Reedin the lastest chapter.
I wonder what happens there..?
In the very last 'more like me, less like you' part, this one's a little different than the rest. instead of showing c!Syaoran before Tokyo and then him during, it shows little c!Syaoran after meeting Sakura and Fujitaka, then the scenes in episode 12 where sakura is bein tod about him, mixed in with the secen of him before meeting both his 'father' and Sakura. I guess this could mean that he wanted to be more like the kind of kid who smiles a lot (...that sounds bad..0 instead of a lost, mysterious kid. I don't know, maybe i've analyzed this too much.... and that's it.
