I would like to renounce my membership to the Communist Party USA.
I believe Lenin was truly a hero of the people, but the system he created led to a stagnate bureaucratic state worse than the one that he replaced. The Revolution of 1917 was one of the greatest moments in human history, that allowed for people to work together for once and take charge for themselves. This is what made me want to join the Communist Party USA, because I hoped that we could re create that. For many months I have battled in my heart over this issue. I've read all of Lenin's books, and have great admiration for him, but within the CPUSA there are too many hot heads, and Stalinists that take their rights as Americans for granted, and try to take advantage of those rights, and wish to destroy completely the American way of life and instill Stalinism all over again, where the party rules everything and the common man once again has no say in what happens in policy. Yet at the same time I have met many wonderful whole hearted Communists who are exemplary in their efforts for a working class revolution, and I wish them the greatest luck in their efforts, but I myself cannot participate anymore. I believe that if a Communist Party were to come into power in America it would only lead to a situation similar to that of Stalinist Soviet Union, where the Party, not the People would rule supreme. While I do not support America's over production and waste of materials, imperialist wars, secret societies, money grabbing bureaucrats whose only interest is that of how much money they make and how much power they can gain, among many other terrible things. I do however love my freedom of speech, right to bear arms, among many other great rights that I have as an American. I believe that a Revolution should not come through a party, but through the people themselves which is why I wish to renounce my membership in the Communist Party USA.
