to an extent i agree, i am a "Smith" leathersmith, blacksmith, tinsmith,allaround craftsman.

when i need a real good sturdy strong blade, i will fire up the kiln and forge one. If i just need a blade that is functional but will be used in the bush(woods) and may end up lost or gone,...

A-MEN.. i was a deployed to 3rd world countries. i have seen stuff like this first hand. i agree with you. some ppl sit back in their luxury and pass judgement on others. i would LOVE to see them in this country having to find food for themselves and the rest of the tribe too...

@xdurlife in 3rd world countries, yes. however, there are many ways to tan leather. there is even a process which uses the brains of the animal in question, which sounds gross, is gross. you can use almost anything acidic to break down the hide proteins but be careful, your hands are also leather...
