I'm a bit of a pioneer (like the guy who in 1909 was 1st to fly the English channel - Louis Bleriot: he knew from where he was taking off, knew where he wanted to land (sort of), had a special design engine which went like the clappers but sometimes got overheated and was prone to a bit of spluttering, structure generally good for lots of takeoffs and quite some bumpy landings, was out in all weathers 'going for it' - just because it was out there.
