@Sgtellzo UK signals at junctions have a route indicator above the signal lights -- its the bar formed by the row of small white lights. If the route indicator isn't lit then this is the plain aspect or main route.

@Desolyt -- this is a lampoon, a kind of comedy common in Western society. The Achmed is not a real person, he's a symbol, and through this symbol we collectively share our thoughts and feelings about something that's real to us. There is obviously no connection with any real Achmed and its a me...

I've had a few run-ins with old singles and their manual compression release and ignition timing adjustment. These days I've got a KLR650 -- it, too, should be a bear to start but you just operate the starting jet and press the button. What a difference a decent carburetteur and automatic compres...

I'm a bit older than 48 so I ride like a cop. Its all about not bouncing that well when you fall off (compared to a young person) so you don't play the percentages at all.
(Congrats on learning piano. I play as well....its not trivial, its something that no matter how good you get there's always...

Nice video -- fast and smooth, that's the way to ride! I do think he's cheating a little bit -- anyone notice that the traffic seems to be yielding to him, as if he were a cop on a cop bike? (He also seems to be going significntly over the speed limit at times -- I suppose its another perq of the...

They say "it'll cruise all day at 120mph" and they're right -- these bikes have got very long legs. Pity about speed limits, isn't it?
(BTW katixc -- the tac's about right -- 60mph is a bit under 3000rpm in 5th.)

I've got one; I'm 6'2" (1.82) and "fairly heavy" and don't feel at all uncomfortable on it. Compared to my modern machines the weight's further back and lower, its more like a dirt bike than a road bike (its very maneuverable)(great for canyon roads).

@Theonedue -- its just got the piano-roll pieces, five or six of them. This CD's of widely varying quality -- not the recording but the quality of the playing. This is very much an individual thing, what appeals to you personally.

Neat. I like the footage of the TT races.......I think I could beat those bikes on my sport-tourer even with my rather conservative riding style. How times have changed!
