I only have access to fairly basic equipment (apart from a six-year-old sampler) so apple oggies for any sound/picture problems.
Hardware:
*A cheap second-hand camera that does video but not sound (£not-very-much-at-all)
*A Napa MP3 player with a tiny dinky microphone (£10 in Newton Abbot market)
* A Dell computer (£300, savng for which involved having a bean on toast for Christmas) (violin music)
* A freeview box that can't get channel 4 properly - good source of glitch video. (bundled w/tenancy - belongs to housemate)
* A USB stick really comes in handy. Get one. No, get two. Mine is 2GB. How does it all fit on? (£14 in Smiths. Try the sales)
* A dictaphone (£a snip from Argos)
* Korg electribe sampler - there are still some around...

* Old tapes and minidiscs from my Amiga years (Adios Amiga!) (£whatever Amigas cost in 1994)
* Wavepad (free)
* Audacity (free)
* Windows movie maker (bundled w/pooter)
* AVS video editor (free)

I think "the usual bunch" goes in here, TG, cabs, neubauten. But stick in OMD, Laurie Anderson, Delia Derbyshire and oooh, The Flying Lizards and that roughly covers it.
